We supported the development of 500 new apartments in a 1912 factory building, by providing support to the Principal Contractor and Health & Safety advice.

A 1912 factory building by the Trussed Concrete Steel Company for HMV. It has an unusual design and is an important local landmark. Proposals for conversion to residential use were agreed and works started on the consented scheme in 2021. With the support of Saxon Safety, repairs to the façade were completed in November 2022, and works to the interior took place in 2024.

Support to the Principal Contractor Scope Property Services for the development of over 500 new apartments at the old vinyl factory in Hayes, London.
Monthly site audits including reviewing Sub-Contractor risk assessments and method statements.
Health and Safety support and advice throughout the project with a focus on temporary works and asbestos removal.

Challenges

This factory building has an unusual design, and is an important local landmark. It was important that this was taken into consideration at every stage of the development.
